Rob's Solo Tracks Available For Purchase On MySpace

Rob Wynia has posted several tracks of his solo material on his official MySpace. You may listen to "Come On Down" "Conversations With A Whore (edit) and The Whale (edit) with the built in player. He has unedited tracks available for purchase for $1.49 each. If you're a fan of Rob's lyrical writings, these Ken Nordine style (closest comparison I can come up with) spoken word pieces will leave you astounded at his long form writing.

Rowan has uploaded her concert poster collection, and we will be adding them to her page shortly.

Guestbook Removed

Due to continued spam, we have decided to remove the Guestbook feature on this site. We feel that having the EXILED Forum incorperated with this site is a much better avenue for communication with other fans, and honestly I am sick to death of seeing porn spam on the guestbook. Even with the option to approve all comments set, it still doesn't stop the 2 - 5 entries per day that I have to sort through.

Stone By Stone Pre-Order / New Site Content

10-10-2006
Beginning TODAY, October 10, through October 20 the "Stone by Stone" CD/DVD can be pre-ordered on the "SHOP" page of the official website (www.floatermusic.com). During this pre-order period the new record can be purchased for $15 - shipping included. After that date the price (including shipping) will be $18.

New photos from Sept 22, 2006 in Mesa AZ have been added to the Live Gallery.

A new guestbook feature was added due to the overwhelming amount of spam in the previous version as well as popup ads. Because of the spambots, all comments will be approved by an administrator before becoming visible to the public.

More changes will be taking place throughout the course of the day.

Sun, Sky, Stone under new management - Site Changes

Greetings from your new webmaster Rai. I would like to first say "farewell and all the best" to the creator of this site Matt. I have been a constant visitor to this site since it's creation and have always found it to be the best source of information and archive material for Floater on the web. I myself, over the years, have contributed lots of content to the site, and begin my history here with only the best intentions at heart.

There will be some major changes occurring here at SSS in the very near future. Most noticeable will be the updated look that will be greeting you shortly. Some smaller, less noticeable changes have already occurred.

The SSS Forum is now gone. It was rarely used by Floater fans for communication, and received more traffic from spam bots than anything else. You are here to get your Floater fix., not to find links to porn sites. In it's place, you will find a link to EXILED. Exiled is not an official Floater Forum, but it is the place where the majority of netbound Floater fans that I know reside, and a great place for conversation! I highly recommend you join us in our fun!

The Bravenet Chat feature will be disappearing soon. I have joined the chat room many times over the last 5 years, and never once was there anyone else in there with me.

I have updated the contact page with current emails for Floater's management, as well as links to MySpace profiles for Rob Wynia, Pete Cornett, Elemental Records, and the Official Floater MySpace page.

You may at any time email me questions, critiques, or criticisms to webmaster@floatermusic.net as well, I also accept site contributions to this email address. Please limit your contributions to files under 8 megabytes. If you have larger files you would like to contribute, please email me and I will make arrangements with you.

Welcome to the next era of Sun, Sky, Stone. Enjoy your visit!

Sun, Sky, Stone soon to be under new management

Greetings from your webmaster Matt. I created this site, and have ran it since it first launched on Oct. 8, 2001.

As of late (or for some time now), I simply haven't had the time or the drive to maintain the site like it should be. My love for Floater has not waned; I've simply been too engrossed in other projects, most notably my band, to focus on updating the site. I think everyone would agree, SSS hasn't been updated as regularly as it should, and is long overdue for a re-design.

I don't want SSS to fade out & die like other Floater fan-sites in the past.

So I will soon be handing over control of the site to Rai Beardsley, aka Weymolith, whom many of you may know from Exiled - the Floater Board. Wey is a fellow Floater fanatic, adept at web skills, and is also a personal friend of mine & Floater's. He is capable & willing to give this site the attention it deserves.

For those who have content published here - never fear, all existing site content will remain online.

It's been almost 5 years for me, and it's been a great, fun experience. I've met many cool people & learned a lot. To everyone who's helped me out with either advice, assistance, and of course submissions, I thank you all sincerely. This site was created by fans, for fans, and that's the way it should be. Letting go of the site is a hard decision for me, but the right one.

This will be my last posting here. To keep in touch, email me @ dyingmind@yahoo.com. And feel free to check out my band's website here.

All future site updates will be by Weymolith. You can contact him @ webmaster@floatermusic.net

Take care & float on!

-Matt
